  • Comment: "Skim through articles" only works with strg+space

hi Lars -- I think you misunderstand me -- I agree that maintaining compatibility with the behaviour of previous releases of liferea is what's most important. In fact I'm advising that it would be better to do that, than to conform to the GTK guidelines on this point -- IMO it would be better to support 's behaviour from earlier releases.

  • Comment: "Skim through articles" only works with strg+space

'jmason: In my understanding this is not a regression. The functionality works as implemented. This is more of a discussion if it should behave like it is implemented.' ok, regression is a bit harsh. 'change in behaviour from prior versions' then ;) Regarding the behaviour of -- it seems inconsistent to me that (for example) works with any pane focussed, but ...

  • drag-and-drop of feed URL to HTML view no longer subscribes

In earlier versions of liferea (up to 1.0.x at least), the user could drag a feed link from firefox into the liferea window, drop it, and liferea would attempt to add that feed to the subscription list. This has changed; now, with 1.4.4, the link must be dragged to either the feed list pane or the item list pane. If the user attempts to drag the feed to the HTML view pane, the feed's URL is...

  • Comment: please display feed title in item view

here's a patch for 1.4.4's "item.xml" XSLT file to do this. File Added: p.

  • please display feed title in item view

In versions of liferea up to 1.0.14, the item view contained all metadata about the currently-viewed item: - the author - the date - the post title - the feed's title I notice that 1.4 now no longer displays the feed title by default. This is suboptimal; I often cannot read the feed title in the feed list to the left, since I tend to keep that pane at a narrow width. Please...

adding another +1 for kirilov-georgi's proposal, it makes good sense and fixes this regression (this was not an issue in 1.0.x or earlier)

  • Comment: Please add ability to go to previous entry in Unread feed

I'd like to second this request. In fact I requested it a while back, too, as Feature Request 1237817, which I can no longer see but used to be at this URL: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=1237817&group_id=87005&atid=581687 Another possible way to do it would be to have a "recently-read items" UI view, which lists the stream of read items similarly to the Condensed View...

  • use of $' slows down all regexp matches

Hi guys, Justin here from SpamAssassin. Just came across a bit of a problem with razor-agents 2.82 -- there are a few places where it uses the forbidden $' perlvar, which, as 'perldoc perlvar' states, is bad news for regexp performance: The use of this variable anywhere in a program imposes a consider- able performance penalty on all regular expression...

  • RFE: way for scanner to report subsumed tokens

hi -- Looking at re2c for SpamAssassin -- it's improved a lot since the last time I checked ;) nice work! one thing, though. it would be really great if re2c could track subsumed tokens. For example: /*!re2c "foo" {return "FOO";} "food" {return "FOOD";} [\000-\377] { return NULL; } */ Assume the input string is "food", and an...
