To fix this follow these steps.
On the "Setting" Menu Select "Options" then the tab
called "Editor" in the box labeled "Show" Select the Down
Arrow on hte Background line and select your preferred color.

This delay was due to heavy use of INI files for saving
settings etc. I have made changes to the source that will
allow for much faster application closing times. A new release
will be posted probably after fixing a few more minor items.

I believe this problem has been fixed unless it can be
reproduced with the currently available executable. Ver
1.0.1.8 or above.

Unfortunately JediEdit does not support Word Wrap. This is
because the SynEdit component that is used for syntax
highlighting does not currently and does not intend to support
Word Wrap. Their feeling is that the ability to do a column
select is more useful to programmers which is after all the
target market.
