What's happening?

Losing First Character of task name

I'm using OpenProj 1.4 on a MacBook pro. When I enter the Name of my task, often the first character of the task name somehow gets removed/deleted. Any ideas what might be causing this behavior?.

I have WAMP 2.0 installed on Vista Home Premium. Have built the database and tested the web service on localhost to be working ok. When I try to start the TCW application in my browser, I receive an error indicating a parsing error $end on includio.fil line 190 I have this application installed on Windows XP Pro with same exact version of WAMP without any trouble.
