  • Followup: RE: printing and save format selection

Thank you very much. Fix for (1) worked. Re: (2) (no list of formats): I knew about the format button, but I only get the format of the current file, not the list of all available ones. Not a big issue since I can fathom the correct extension... The latest Ubuntu may supply the most recent version of GM. thanks again, Jim.

  • printing and save format selection

I'm using Version: GraphicsMagick 1.1.7 2005-10-12 Q8 on Ubuntu and have 2 problems when using the "display" option: (1) when I attempt to print, I get the error message: sh: no -c -s: not found and then a dialog box telling me printing failed (2) when I attempt to save an image in another format by choosing "format", I do not get a list of possible formats. How...

  • Conversion of tex accented symbols

Where in the bib perl script are tex escapes for accented characters replaced with the symbols from the current font? I.E., if you insert \"o into a title or author name, sixpack tries to convert it using (apparently) iso8859-1 encoding. I'd like to turn this feature off. I don't see it as an option in .sixpack.rc -jim.

  • 1.1.97 and 1.0.2 fails in RH9.0

Like many on this list, I cannot get 1.1.97 to do anything on a fresh RH9.0 install. Same with 1.0.2. Since I want to teach anjuta for a class, I need something that works. I may have to go to Kdevelop. But for those that want to use anjuta: try 1.0.1. It at least compiles and executes a console program.

  • Followup: RE: bibkeeper fails to open "large" bib file

here is something to consider. I currently use the sixpack bib db manager. It has 1 field you don't support called "file", which I use to store the number of the physical copy I keep in my files. Also sixpack does not have a field called "search". (I didn't see that referenced in the help; what is the intended purpose?) I see when I save a sixpack bib in bibkeeper, you...

I ran a couple of tests for loading time: No. Refs---------Load Seconds 258 2 458 75 I'm afraid to wait for my real database of 4580 refs to load... System: Redht8.0 linux, Gnome, Sawfish WM. Java1.4 1GHz Athlon with 1G RAM Hope you can see how to speed it up, jim.

  • Followup: RE: bibkeeper fails to open "large" bib file

no error messages; I'll let it run as long as it wants to see if it is just time. I did observe that the bibkpr window blanks out and gets overwritten by other windows, which suggested to me that it wasn't just taking a long time. i'll also try creating some medium big files to get a better sense of speed. jim.

  • bibkeeper fails to open "large" bib file

Hi, New to bibkeeper, but not bibtex. I can open small bib files fine, but fail on files >2meg and 4000 refs. Is it me? Here's my java info: java version "1.4.0" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.0-b92) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.0-b92, mixed mode)
