  • Windows: Create new dir to backup to

Using 1.0a1 on Windows XP. I have selected the photos to backup, and now its asking where. I hit browse, and navigated to a directory. I would like to create a new directory in this one, and put the files in the new one. However, the browser doesn't appear to have the new folder icon on the top that most Win browsers do. It would be nice if it did.

  • Windows: No dialogs open based on path to jars

I unzipped the 1.0a1 to the Desktop in Windows XP. Then when I attempted to run the FlickrBackup.jar, it launched Firefox to get me Flickr authenticated, but nothing else ever happened. Process explorer showed java was running with the proper files open, but no dialogs appeared. I moved the folder to "C:\", and launched it, and it worked properly. My guess would be that it didn't lik.

  • Error when string contains "'"

I tried to add an item to my registry that has a ' in the description field. This resulted in an SQL error being displayed.

  • drop tables before creating them

In create-phpgiftregdb.sql, you should do a "DROP TABLE foo;" before the "CREATE TABLE foo;" so you don't get an error if it already exists. This allows one to quickly reset the database to the pristine state. This is dangerous, but if someone is running this script, I think this is what they expect to happen. Also, I'd prefer a shorter name to this file... ;)

  • Mailing list

I'd like a mailing list for this software, so I could ask for help and talk about features. Thanks!

  • Multiple registries per person

I would like to be able to have multiple registries for each user. For example, a "House Warming" registry, which would have some people watching, and a "Baby Registry" which may have a different set of users working on. Perhaps it might be cool to let two people share a registry. For example, mom and dad might both work on the baby registry. (I don't want to give my password to my...

  • Update profile doesn't work

I think I've got everything set up properly, but when I click on "Update Profile", it goes to the login screen, then back to my registry. No profile screen.

  • Comment: [G1] Include ID in display

Logged In: YES user_id=175353 I agree that this workaround is not elegant or the right long term solution. However, it seems unlikely that in the G1 timeframe someone is going to revamp this (what do you do if an image has no caption or name?). So, can't we do a cheap and easy enhancement now and undo it when the new solution is designed? Thanks for listening; sorry to keep bothering...

  • Comment: [G1] Include ID in display

Logged In: YES user_id=175353 Please help me understand why you don't want this. Its a 3 character change, and (IMHO) it greatly improves the interface. Several of the commands in the edit menu require ID numbers (move, reorder, copy, at least), and without this fix, you get the IDs by starting the edit command at the last or first one and counting the number of images to operate on.
