What's happening?

  • Finally working. Now, just *one* little bug..

So, with the release of 2.5.5, I'm able to run the *server* on my Linux box and then run the GUI from my laptop so that I can administer the recordings from wherever I am. However, when I go to choose the download location (you know... where the ToGo recordings are saved), if I click the "..." button, the GUI lets me choose from directories on the *laptop*, not on the *server*...

  • Shows are missing from ToGo once downloaded

Once I download a show from my TiVo to my PC using ToGo, they are omitted from the ToGo->Recorded list after that *even* if I delete them from the download directory (so they don't show in ToGo->Downloaded, either). Galleon seems to be keeping track of which ones I've downloaded. Is there a way to reset the list... or to get it to stop doing this altogether and always show me the whole...

  • Followup: RE: Remote viewing of config GUI on Win32

I'm having trouble pulling this off in practice. For starters, if I go to the Properties dialog for the Galleon shortcut (on Windows XP), the command-line is so long that I'm only able to add about 3 or 4 chars before I hit the character limit on the textbox. So, I guess I have to make a batch file that sets the classpath separately, but I haven't gotten that to work, yet. Secondly, since my...

  • On-the-fly deocding during download?

As far as I know, the only purpose the Media Access Key is for decoding the TiVo files to regular, viewable, mpegs. Now, I noticed that Galleon has a place for you to enter your MAK, but I haven't figured out how to get it to decode. Is there a switch I'm missing somewhere? Secondly, if Galleon does *not* do on-the-fly decoding of downloads... well, there's an open-source decoder called...

  • gpar2: Monitor for more files and auto-repair

QuickPar for Windows really has it nailed. By default, you can set it to: 1 - Monitor for new parts of the par-set 2 - Display how many more blocks are still needed. 3 - Automatically repair (if necessary) as soon as enough blocks show up. 4 - Remove all of the PAR's after the repair. The upshot of all of this is that, when downloading a set of files, you can download the par file first...
