Hi John,
"The commonest cause is a missing JAR." This means that you are missing one or more of the ant-libraries.. The quick solution for this is
yum install ant-*
(or maybe it is ant* instead of ant-*) or download and use the full Ant zip from Apache.

Hi Felix,
The autoenrollment feature is extremely experimental and I cannot recommend it for production use. My guess is that the script that uses the IE component for some reasons does not have the appropriate access rights, but Windows really isn't my area of expertise.
