It's sort of how Suunto Dive manager looks. The dive number and dates are down the left of screen and as you scroll down you can see the dive profile and basic details in the 'preview pane'.
Alternatively you could just cut your main list in half and have it at the bottom. With full screen witdth you could have the details and profile on one screen or you could...

For want of a better term, like the "Preview Pane" in a mail client. Instead of opening up the dive data in a seperate window, the main window could be split so that the dive list only took up part of it and when a dive was selected the detail tabs could show up in the other pane.
Only a minor thing, but it would be nice to see dive info just by using the arrow keys up and down the dive list.

It would be good to have print settings so that other fields could be added/removed from the printed lists. For example, it would be useful to have your buddy on the printed lists.
Printing preferences could be done in the settings, alternatively it could print whatever columns (printable) are displayed and you could right click on the column header to add/remove columns such as buddy, air...
