If the "fix" prescribed above doesn't work for you, it is possible to correct this issue by modifying the input validation to allow the "curly" characters. This will correct the "curly" quote problem for ALL input fields, not just the description! (You could also remove the input validation all together, but I would never recommend something like that.)

If a "curly" quote character is entered into an input field while entering a new event (from a MS Word copy and paste, for example), the field gets cleared when you preview the new event. There is a "fix" for this bug posted already but it did not work for our installation. You can find the original bug report here...

This fix is not working for our installation of 2.2.2. When the fix is applied, all descriptions get wiped even if they do not have a bad quote character.
Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know of a fix for the fix?.
