  • Comment: rdesktop can't connect to server

Issue resolved. The Windows Terminal Server gives out a temporary license on first connection that expires after about 9 months. This is stored by rdesktop in ~/.rdesktop/license.. Removing this file causes another temporary license to be generated for another 9 months. Microsoft have this workaround for XP clients documented at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/187614.

  • rdesktop can't connect to server

The message from rdesktop is "ERROR: recv: Connection reset by peer". The server admins refuse to help at all since I am running a non-approved O/S (Linux). • Won't accept rule for SCTP protocol using a port

The module save_rule.cgi has several times a repeat of the code: if (&parse_mode("...", $rule, "...")) { $proto eq "tcp" || $proto eq "udp" || &error($text{'save_etcpudp'}); The protocol SCTP also uses port numbers, but rules mentioning port numbers are rejected by this code. See e.g...

  • Problems with sctp_getpaddrs

I'm having two problems with sctp_getpaddrs(). Env is 2 laptops with ethernet and wireless. One running kernel 2.6.20.6, the other kernel 2.6.17.1. The source endpoint is on 2.6.20.6, the destination endpoint is either of them (the problems are the same). The problems occur when the destination endpoint is running as dual-homed. I compiled the kernel with SCTP_DEBUG turned on. 1) Using...
