I guess that would make sense! In general the contents of both are arbitrary strings (http://developer.apple.com/mac/library/documentation/General/Reference/InfoPlistKeyReference/Articles/CoreFoundationKeys.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40009249-SW1) and developers can assign whatever value they think makes sense. We should probably provide a script to handle the Info.plist...

  • Followup: RE: Determining plant complexity (vertex count)

D'oh! I guess it was just to obvious :-) Hmm.. Maybe a small tweak could be added to make it even more obvious for folks like me that usually that rarely read the user manual like this..? [http://www.777kb.com/vimg/ngPlant_VertexTriangleDisp.jpg][1] This is the small change I've made to p3dmedit.cpp for the screenshot above: 947c947 <...

dashtwo - 1.) Haven't used the Blender import yet, but maybe somebody could give you a hint if you could post a screenshot? 2.) Have you tried 'Branching > RevAngle' ? Cheers,<br> Jan.

  • Determining plant complexity (vertex count)

Hi there - Is there any way to determine the vertex count of a plant model? That would be an awesome feature for people intending to create models for use in realtime-applications where we'd like to keep the vertex count low but still have some neat looking trees and plants :-) Maybe anybody created a patch already, or figured out a way to add this feature ?! Cheers,<br> Jan.

  • Plant Gallery/Database

Hello everybody, I was wondering if there's a gallery/database of user created plants?<BR> If not, should we set up one? Would be nice to have a place to upload your own models and get models from other ngPlant-ers for free! Any thoughts? Cheers,<BR> Jan.

Hello again - for those of us still running Leopard (10.5) I've uploaded a binary at [http://www.barnholt.net/sw/ngPlant-0.9.7-Leopard.zip][1] However, it would be great if this could eventually be hosted on the SF site! You'll need an Intel Mac to be able to run this binary. I also took the freedom of swapping the middle mouse button for the left mouse button - the former is highly...

Thanks - that worked! Alas, for now just running under 10.6 and crashing under 10.5, but I suppose as soon as the patch is integrated in the main line anybody can just compile it under their system of choice :-) [http://www.777kb.com/vimg/ngPlant_OS_X_10_6.jpg][1] Thanks for everybody working towards the OS X build! Cheers, Jan [1]: http://www.777kb.com/vimg/ngPlant_OS_X_10_6.jpg.

Hello there, I agree - ngPlant is a great tool! Thanks for making it available to everyone. Also hope to have official build-support for OS X soon, now that the initial hurdles seem to have been overcome :-) Cheers, Jan.
