1. If you mean ipy.exe then it's not a shell, it's a program that runs within a shell. You can make the IronPython prompt automatically appear in a new tab by setting the "Shell" parameter for a tab to:
cmd.exe /K ipy.exe
I just tested this with the normal Python prompt and it works, so I imagine it works with IronPython, too.
