I AGREE! I would definitely prefer the program to force you to login first, before accessing the archive. just because it's on my personal computer does not mean that i feel secure that no one else will read it. plus, a program is much easier to stumble upon than a file, so someone merely has to wonder "what's this?" and click on the program link.. and they instantly have access to your entries.
