Christ if you think you found and solved issues with the installation manuals, can you please update this manual so everyone can benefit....I I'm too having a lot of problems connecting to my posterita server from the network ....locally i connect, I get no errors when installing.
I'm installing on Ubuntu 8.04 GUI from this manua...

as sugested by red1 I did
http://<REMOTE-SERVER>:8080/webui
and that send me to a login screed........so far so good
but after loging in using SuperUser System.....it seem to want to load up adempiere and I can even see it loading........then is gives an error ( The server is temporary out of service....please try again later)., But then it sends me to the Adempiere web site

I I'm a recovering ex windows user, and I will not go back to windows just because I can not install Adempiere, so there it is......I will persevere and try and learn just how to install Adempiere.

My experience with Adempiere so far has being a series of install failures, now I'm the first one to admit that my ERP knowledge are limited, but a was able to install Openbravo and play with it, which was not easy either.
I very much want to use Adempiere based on what I read it is the right ERP choice, but a newbie with limited knowlege like me ought to be able to fallow an install manual...

I'm looking for installation manual for ubuntu 8.10 to install adempiere 3.42, but have not being able to find one......I understand that pljava is no longer needed.....all the manuals I foud where for older versions of adenpiere, I want very much to install but cant find a updated manual.
