Hi sorry, I've been meaning to spend some more time on the 1160 patch, but my day job has got in the way and just haven't had the time...
but I'm still here! so I'll try and make some progress!

I'll try and make time to try zoneminder with the input switching tonight.

Thanks Nicolas,
Sorry I haven't updated this yet, I've been way too busy. I'll try to find time this week to make a patch with the other changes.
Ivor.

ah indeed I implemented that a while ago. I'll really have to sort out an updated patch!

be interesting to experiment and see how quickly it's possible to cycle through inputs though.
for example I have a BT879 based card (rapidos) that does just this to give 16 inputs, you get about 10fps with it.

Cool. I've got a few updates adding NTSC support and getting the video modes working. I'll have to update the patch.
The four input one seems ok, although as I mentioned before you need to switch between the card inputs rather than the card multiplexing the images for you.

you'll probably get timing issues and/or overruns if you're using anything other than yuv for capture.
btw what sort of easycap dongle are you using? is this one of the composite/s-video input cards or one of the four input cards? if the former... which input do you get an image on?.

Just to repeat the salient points of my earlier post in case anyone missed them:
> Ok first version of patch: http://www.ivor.org/stk0408-1.patch
>
Key phrase "first version", this is an early release of the code in case anyone else wants to have a tinker. This isn't supposed or expected to be a usable driver.
> Clearly "beta" :)

i.e. dont expect this...
