Finding a solution to efficiently combine HPC and OpenMI is also high on our wish-list, it's one of the topics that we would like to address in a new EU FP7 project. So far, there have been a couple of initiatives linking OpenMI to HPC, but none of them have really addressed the issue of linking two HPC components via OpenMI.
