I have been able to apply workarounds for all the lost functionalities, however the PhoneStateListener might still be lost for up to an hour before the application realizet it will have to be reinitialized. As such, I don't consider the bug to be fixed and it seems not possible to fix with android 1.x. With this bug open I still choose to release version 0.8beta.
