You can set-up CNTLM as a socks proxy, but you apps should support connecting through a socks proxy (and also the proxy through which you connect, must also support connections on other ports then 80 and 443 (which usually isn't the case)).
The only option you have left, is tunnel it through SSH, but if the proxy blocks all other ports then 80 and 443, you will have to run an OpenSSH server...

the issue you are facing with 0.92.1 is caused by something else. Although I cannot reproduce it. Is there a reason why you haven't upgraded your Mac installation? (It is working fine on 10.7.3 with Xcode 4.3.1 installed…maybe that works for you also.)

Hi, I just tested this on 10.7.3 (current Lion release) and the same compile error occurs. When I try to compile 0.92.2 it also occurs.
The last working version is release 0.92.2.
