For me the connect dialog schema needs to be entered in uppercase. If not, then I need to select the schema from the dropdown list.

Try setting your ORACLE_HOME environment variable to where your oracle client installation is. eg: c:\progra~1\oracle\ora92.

Schema seems to be case sensitive where username is not. This fixed this for me on windows with 2.0.0 connecting to Oracle.
