I have no idea too. Can you please repeat the steps leading you to save the slideshow? Maybe you could isolate the bug.

Thank you so much for your kind reply. Yes I have Xubuntu 64bit. In the meantime I solved my problem by downloading this very excellent Firefox extension:

you are using 2.0b1 which was a buggy version. Please download the 2.1 from getdeb.net or compile it by yourself and try again. I will close this bug feel free to reopen it but please use the most recent version: 2.1.
