  • Quasi-modal Launchy?

Hi there, I was aware of Launchy, but decided to give Enso a try first. The main reason I like Enso is their view on modal (i.e. you hit a key and the launchy window opens and stays open) vs. quasi-modal (you hold down a key and the windows stays open until you release it). I don't want to start a "what's superior" discussion, but it seems that it shouldn't be too hard to make...

  • Comment: from where get the vnc-server its picture information

How about just using telnet to get to the machine? Seems a very roundabout way to try and create a VNC viewable screen from a console.

  • Comment: Not connecting on startup, 'waiting for network connection

Logged In: YES user_id=1127579 It appears to have been fixed in beta5. I just installed that and the problem has disappeared on all systems that seemed to have it before.

  • Not connecting on startup, 'waiting for network connection

When I start GAIM, it shows all my accounts as enabled and my status as 'available', but the status button reads 'waiting for network connection' indefinitely and none of my contacts appear to be online. Then, when I select the 'offline' status and immediately afterwards select the 'available' status again, suddenly all my contacts appear. However, the status button still reads 'waiting...

  • FAT32 Maximum filesize misreports CRC error

When extracting files from an archive that have a filesize of over 4Gb, 7-Zip reports a CRC failure instead of pointing out that the file I'm trying to extract cannot be stored on the target FS. I'm using Windows 2000 Professional, attempting to extract a 6Gb file from a multi-volume RAR archive onto a 8Gb FAT32 volume. The operation fails with an error message reporting CRC failure...

  • Followup: RE: Getting Saxon .Net to work in Delphi 2005

Well, some additional information on this issue: the Saxon installation is working, all the command line tools perform admirably. However, in both Delphi 2005 and Delphi 2006 I am experiencing the same problem, both with Delphi and C# projects. Although the Delphi 2006 build no longer reports all the duplicate definitions (which seem to have something to do with case-sensitivity), it still...

  • Followup: RE: Getting Saxon .Net to work in Delphi 2005

It's probably more of a Delphi issue than it is a Saxon issue, though I expect more Delphi users will be having the same problem with Saxon. When I refer to the saxonapi.dll from a C# project (in the Borland IDE) I can use it, but somehow it fails to work in Delphi .Net projects. I'll be sure to post a reply if I get it to work...

  • Getting Saxon .Net to work in Delphi 2005

Hello, I'm trying to get Saxon .Net (Saxon-SA) to work in Delphi 2005. However, if I try to reference the assemblies (no matter which one), I get flooded with errors like [Error] E2421 Imported identifier 'name' conflicts with 'name' in 'BaseKeyAgreementParty'. Also, the documentation seems to suggest I only need to reference the saxonapi.dll assembly, to get to the Saxon.Api.Processor, but...

  • Blocking unwanted chat requests

Hello, using ICQ on GAIM, I have the problem of dozens of chatter trying to start a conversation with me every day. They seem to pickup my ICQ # on all sorts of search engines. The original ICQ client has an option to only accept incoming chat from people on your contact list. Is there some way to configure GAIM like that? I am aware of the "block" feature, but this doesn't work...

  • Extend security to reading pages

Hello, Has anyone tried to extend the built-in security (login to write) to reading pages? I.e., restrict certain pages to registered users? I know this kind of defeats the general Wiki spirit, but I need it for my own Wiki. If anyone has tried it and has some experiences or code to share before I try and implement it myself, I'd love to hear about it. Greetings, Grismar.
