As you can see, if not .svn directory or no svn client is present, no revision number will be added. So, for release we can make export of release revision or remove .svn directory manually.
However, current version of this patch will display an error message while reconfiguring if no svn client is exist. I upload a bit of fixed version, which supress this message.

Since an old bootstrap script was removed, synfig does not added revision number to its version, which hardcoded into the configure.ac. This patch is get this ability back.

Hmmm, I repeat the instruction and all working perfectly. May be it's something wrong with content of your openexr-1.4.0-pkgconfig.patch?
Try to use the ready build scripts from attach.

New version of Synfig Core has examples compressed into .sifz. With this patch installer script will take sizf but not sif files from examples directory.

Actually, I'm don't use SELinux at home so this problem is surprise for me. I'll go to read SELinux documentation to resolve this problem correctly, but it can take a several time.

This file is a part of GTKmm package. Did you install it? Which version you install? Which paths you install GTK+ and GTKmm?.
