Closing.
This problem appears to be an issue with the way git was installed. Hyphenated git commands like git-diff are being deprecated, so making this change would cause a problem in the future.

This doesn't really seem to be the correct solution. You'll just end up masking a real problem, if one occurs.
Which libcmyth function is the source of the error in your case? And which mythtv version are you using? cmyth_rcv_timestamp() does allow for a timestamp to be a single space character. Perhaps this should also allow zero characters to be valid.

Thanks.
However, the mbox archives you provided are over 2 months
old. Don't you have a more up to date copy?.

According to the sourceforge mailing list
documentation, you will provide project administrators
with an mbox archive of their mailing lists upon request.
I am the admin of the mvpmc project, and I would like
to get an mbox archive of the following two mailing lists:
mvpmc-devel
mvpmc-users
Thank you.
