You can ask the sharer to provide you the link (ICS format) of the google calendar he/she wants to share with you and you can configure it as a new ICS calendar in SB.

Google Gadgets implementation in SB is only experimental. Some Gadgets may not work due to this and also because of the constrained browser environment in which they run.

Tasks that do not have due date can not be shown in the agenda applet.
If that is done, all tasks that have a start data some time in past (months or years ago have to be shown in the agenda. Doing this will show a lot of tasks in the agenda applet that may not be relevant and this defeats the purpose of an 'Agenda' applet.

Please send the following info.
1. Open task manager and check the process that is taking max cpu. Please provide us the name of that program
2. Try this. In Tools->Options->General->Enabled Applications, un-check Chat. Restart spicebird. Do you still have the problem?.

Can you double check if your default browser is set properly. May be click on links in some other apps and check.
Also, provide the following info.
- Your OS
- If its Linux/Ubuntu, are you running SP 64 bit version on a 32 bit machine?
- Where did you download SP from.
