  • Multifiles in Gecko

Multifiles currently aren't implemented and don't work But are needed for EMA mixing and data mosntering.

  • Simple EMA mixing layer in Gecko

9/29/05 Hi Roger, Finally got out enough bugs that I could run an EMA-mixing layer in Gecko. Results of Gecko EMA shown below (lower trace), on same scale as results from Grams Hamaker. Gecko result is 0.34% lower than the Grams result. I attribute the difference to the fact that the LDS calculated within Gecko has far fewer points than the LDS calculated within Grams. (Due to...

  • Discussion Of Data Monstering Approaches

Roger, I don't know where we are going to end up with this thread. But I know that RIGHT NOW - we do not have multifiles inside Gecko. The students never got this far. Most of your great results obtained thru grams involved using multifiles - i.e. varying EMA, etc. So I am proposing that implementing multifiles might be an immediate need. • Comment: Command Line Interface To Java

Logged In: YES user_id=763425 Roger, Rick, I was about to recommend that we use command-line arguments to solve some of the Data-Monster problems - until I read the folloiwing at java.sun.com: Programs that use command-line arguments are not 100% Pure Java because some systems, like the Mac OS, don't normally have a command line or command-line arguments. Consider using...

  • Command Line Interface To Java

Need a command line interface to Gecko, to enable data monstering, so that a series of projects can be loaded and run. Maybe we do the runn a series of projects inside Gecko, as a button and don't use the CLI idea.

  • Comment: Run multiple projects in database

Logged In: YES user_id=763425 I have a reasonably working code to do the mysql data monster project building. I currently wouldn't recommend using it for massive data- monstering because it creates copies of the layers that are contained within each project. That is fine, because that is what the projects were meant to do. But if one is doing a 100x100 grid and each...

  • Batch Import Spectra Into DB

-The ability to batch import and batch calculate LD spectra from e2 or JCV files (tedious when having 60+ CNT spectra to do one by one). Batch import can be implemented by making add material dialog have a browse function with the ability to multiselect spectra.

  • ascii filenames of spc globs in database

-Potentially adding another row in the MySQL database to put the actual spectra name in a simple to read text format, rather than having to parse the SPC file blob, which is completely binary and unreadable from the command line.
