Hi Nanuit, This is probably a bit too late to be useful (I wasn't monitoring this thread), but what do you mean by "an actuall version of the install file"? Do other versions of OggPlay work on your E71? This version does need more capabilities which might be the cause of the certificate error, although I would expect it to fail on all phones instead of just some models if...

  • Followup: RE: Patch to support volume buttons on remote

Hi Choffee, I've just checked CVS and it doesn't look like this patch has been applied, so if you need support for the volume buttons you'll have to use the SIS I linked to above instead of an official release. Unfortunately it looks like the official developers haven't worked on Oggplay for quite a while. Francis.

  • Followup: RE: Nokia N81 music keys support

The same API that is used for the volume buttons also has support for play/stop/fast forward/rewind etc. HOWEVER on my N95 these buttons are always captured by the built-in music player and never passed to 3rd party applications like OggPlay. I've done a build with code for play/stop/fast forward/rewind, you can get it from...

Thanks for testing :-) The 7 and 9 keys do work for me. They only work when an internal codec is being used. I suspect that you are playing MP3 files and have the phone codec selected. Please can you try choosing the Internal codec in Options->Settings->Codecs->mp3 and trying again. Let me know if that fixes it.

I have updated the patch at http://www.devrx.org/software/symbian/oggplay/symbianoggplay-mediakeys.diff to support the keys on the side of the phone as well. I've also uploaded a binary for people to test: http://www.devrx.org/software/symbian/oggplay/OggPlay-s60v3mmf-mediakeys.sis; please let me know whether it works for you. I recommend that you install it on a memory card, not on the phone...

  • Patch to support volume buttons on remote

Hi, I've implemented support for volume buttons on the remote control in the headphone cable for S60v3 phones like the N95 (these buttons are called "media keys" in Symbian jargon). Unfortunately the other buttons on the remote (play/pause, next, previous) don't get passed through to 3rd party apps. However, according to...

  • Followup: RE: Nokia N70 - OGG 1.62 and 1.65 incompatibl

Hi Stuart, I never got a reply from Leif about becoming a developer. I am just using the command line tools at the moment (no emulator / debugger) - I haven't done much development recently. I would like to try and implement smaller volume control steps, is there anything fundamental about the S60 sound system that would prevent me or would I mainly need to worry about the user interface?.

  • Followup: RE: Nokia N70 - OGG 1.62 and 1.65 incompatibl

Do you have any MP3s on your phone/memory card? I have found that the built in MP3 MMF plugin on the N70 can't cope with some high-bitrate MP3s and this causes any program that tries to access them to crash (including the built in music player and OggPlay). Try deleting all of the music from your phone, then adding it back one album at a time, doing "Find New Files" in OggPlay...

  • Comment: Some way to avoid the "rip entire disc?" question

Logged In: YES user_id=24921 I have made a patch that adds an option to automatically rip all tracks instead of asking "No tracks selected. Rip whole CD?". Please see http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1432311&group_id=3714&atid=303714.

  • Option to automatically rip all tracks if none selected

This patch adds an option that, when enabled, will automatically rip all tracks of a CD without asking, instead of asking "No tracks selected. Rip whole CD?".
