Haiku - the open source (MIT) BeOS clone - really needs a killer multimedia application to succeed.
If you can port yours I believe it could be THE ONE.

Keep in mind that Haiku uses PortAudio and media_server not ALSA nor JACK...

Due to copyright laws differences between countries, it would be great to have a GeoIP-based download right management.
I found this interesting article on how implement it in PHP easily (with GPL codes):
