Hi,
Trying to get this hooked up with Slackware 11.0. Can anyone give me a clue on what to do after I have created all the .o files?
Thanks,
Rich.

Also on the WinXP PC I see thus after attempting the mount statement from the Slackeware PC:
PORTMAP NOTIMP
PORTMAP GETPORT 100005 1058
MOUNT MNT s:lacked from 192.168.1.151
Notes: I entered e:\slacked and daemon says s:lacked
192.168.1.151 is the IP of Slackware machine
TIA,
Rich.

An update...
File rc.rpc on Slackware PC was NOT an executable which I have just fixed so it IS now an executable.
so now when I enter:
mount -t nfs 192.168.1.200:\e\slacked \mnt\slacked
I get the message:
mount: 192.168.1.200:eslacked failed, reason given by server: Permission denied
TIA,
Rich.

Hi,
Here is what I did...
I have an e:\slacked folder on my Win XP Home edition PC which I share
I run winNFSd e:\slacked & all 3 daemons start
On a local laptop on my LAN where I can ping both ways between the WinXP and SLackware machines ...
I have created a /slacked directory in /mnt
I entered: mount -t nfs 192.168.200:/e/slacked /mnt/slacked
