Hello,
please try to delete the whole Photos directory after a backup of your photos, and please try to create a new Photo Database from scratch right after selected the proper model in Preferences.
If this doesn't help, please send to me the output of the program after launched it from the console, a possibly a Photo Database for this model as generated by iTunes.
Thank you.

You need to apt-get install python-glade2.

You just need to install the "svn" tool
(http://subversion.tigris.org) using for example "apt-get
install subversion" command in Debian/Ubuntu GNU/Linux based
distributions.
Then you should launch the commands "svn checkout
https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/gpixpod/trunk
gpixpod-cvs" to get the code tree, and "svn update" inside
the created "gpixpod-cvs"...

modifications on the C code.
`svn checkout
https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/gpixpod/trunk gpixpod-cvs`
Thank you.

The command line tool automatically keeps a synchronization
file to avoid duplicates. You could skip this feature
passing the -f or --force option.
