Nice. If I turn down the reflections I can turn up the modulation without it sounding like I'm playing under water.
I'm comparing it to the tap rotary by shooting for a gritty sounding organ with worn out tubs and overdrives leslie type of sound. I have to pre-process the sound differently to get the same type of sound since they both sound quite different. But I'm able to get similar results.

Yes, thanks for removing the tremolo. It makes is sound more like I'm listening from outside a leslie cabinet rather than from inside one. :)
I have the right kind of controls I need, but I think the modulation itself isn't quite right. It seems to kinda distort and smear the sound to give it a watery effect which is not quite what you want. You might want to look and see what kind of...

Never mind about the HZ. I just realized they represented RPM. :)

Sounds great!! The the delay for speed change is a good thing (a real leslie takes time to accelerate)
You might want to change the settings for the horn speeds so that they are in HZ. (It's kind of hard to guess what type of speed the current numbers will produce)
Also the stereo width is very very wide. You may want to consider adding a control for how wide of a stereo field is produced...

I was excited when I saw calf included a rotary speaker LADSPA plugin, because the only other one was available was from the TAP plugins. However the dev for TAP plugins apparently found a "real" job and can't work on them any more.
The only problem with the TAP plugin is that it is not antialiased. It's nice to be able to bind midi controls to the TAP rotary speaker controls to control speed.

Java aborts due to sloppy locking with libxcb.
Locking assertion failure. Backtrace:
#0 /usr/lib/libxcb-xlib.so.0 [0xb5230856]
However, libxcb-1.1 allows broken apps to continue instead of aborting if the environment variable LIBXCB_ALLOW_SLOPPY_LOCK=1 is set. The shell scripts need to make sure this is set before calling java.

Would it be possible to make releases of this that can be dumped into any folder and run without having to be admin? I many times have to do quick and dirty work on windows machines where gimp would be very handy, but I'm unable to install because it requires admin access.
I can currently install and run other pacakges to local folders without admin access (like inkscape for instance). Would...

There is a site that is using a php based http address that redirects to an mmc stream. Mplayer can play the mmc stream if given the address directly, but apparently has problems when clicking on the link within the browser.
The plugin DOES load, but then it just sits there and never actually accesses the media stream.
For reference here is the web page with the links to video streams that...
