Your difficulties come from your use of CAPI4HylaFAX. For support you will need to turn to the developers of CAPI4HylaFAX, however, my understanding is that they are not very responsive.

You need to create a MIMEConverter for "application/msword". Find your current MIMEConverters. They're probably in /usr/local/lib/fax/faxmail or /etc/hylafax/faxmail. Create a file in the "application" directory called "msword". In that text file put:
#! /bin/bash
/usr/bin/antiword -p letter -m 8859-1.txt "$1"
exit

You say "faxcapi"... are you using CAPI4HylaFAX?.
