I totally agree with this request!
I first step would be to be able to sort prefered columns, and keep those settings. A second step would be to completely remove useless colums. For example I generally need badly so sort and check files by date, while I don't bother with the "type" (we can see if it's a folder or by extension if it's a text file or a music file!), the permission and owner are...

Archlinux, like many linux distributions, provides kde4/qt4 by default. I have qt3 installed though, in /opt/
After changing the makefile to point INCPATH to /opt/qt/include, I got this:
g++ -c -pipe -march=i686 -mtune=generic -O2 -pipe -D_REENTRANT -Wall -W -DQT_NO_DEBUG -DQT_GUI_LIB -DQT_CORE_LIB -I/usr/share/qt/mkspecs/linux-g++ -I. -I/usr/include/QtCore -I/usr/include/QtGui...

when creating a game with the command "release along with the source text, a website", we expect the output to be in "game Material/source.html", "game Material/index.html" etc. The problem is the index.html goes as expected, but the source.html goes in the inform game root folder, with a name such as "game Material\source.html" (like in ms windows). I'm pretty sure the previous release was...

I think you should propose this extension on
http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/
it would give it a better visibility!

if it can confort you, on Archlinux, it's crashing too when starting a new project. I guess new versions of gtk broke something.
I tried to remove gnome-inform7 from my system to compile it again, and it's no longer working, the compilation halt at this part: (I write it here because it may be related)
appwindow.c:54: erreur: static declaration of ‘gtk_container_get_focus_child’...

I'm using Geany 0.15.
The middle click clipboard acts quite strangely.
- select a word with the mouse
- click immediatly with middle click mouse button elsewhere: the word is pasted.
- click with left mouse button elsewhere, or add a line break with keyboard, and click again with middle click button: you can still paste your previous selection.
This is NORMAL X window behavior
Now...

on linux, the save files are stored in a general "saves" file in the home folder, it would be more conventional and clean to keep them in a .crawl/saves or .stone-soup/saves (or even better, following the freedesktop advice, to keep them in a .config/crawl/saves folder.
