  • Followup: RE: How to inform English people about Freeplane?

Hi, I think, we need first a stable release, then we can think about "marketing". Once released, we can post articles to slashdot, freshmeat, and possibly a few blogs. Before, it's a bit more difficult. Eric.

  • Followup: RE: Request: Icon 4 spell checking all /sub nodes

Hi, it's a valid request, but we're preparing the next release, so currently in feature freeze. Please place your request in [Mantis][1] (set Project to "Feature Requests" on the upper right side), so that it doesn't get lost. Thanks, Eric [1]: https://sourceforge.net/apps/mantisbt/freeplane/.

  • Followup: RE: 0.9.0 Release candidate 6

Hello, FreeMind 0.9.0_RC6 has been packaged and can be pulled from: deb http://eric.lavar.de/comp/linux/debian/ experimental (see the [wiki][1] for more details) Let me know how it works, the package has only been tested on Debian/sid, I'm interested in your experience with Ubuntu and other versions of Debian. Cheers, Eric PS: I hope to get this version of FreeMind...

  • Followup: RE: Opening linked files with chosen application

Hi, that's a very old thread. In the mean time, FreeMind uses [xdg-open][1] to open links. To get this utility installed on your system, you need to install a package generally called xdg-utils. Eric [1]: http://portland.freedesktop.org/xdg-utils-1.0/xdg-open.html.

  • Followup: RE: Freeplane 1.0.32 Testing

Salut Franck, because we decided that, at this stage, a stable release was more important than new features, and we wanted to have a stable release for December/January, the logical style feature was put back for a while. The consequence is that 1.0.32 is actually a rolled-back version, and hence more a descendant of 1.0.30 than of 1.0.31. I still need to put the words around the...

  • Followup: RE: Freeplane 1.0.32 Testing

Hi, I would say, set it to Resolved once you've finished working on it, and you've checked in the changes in the Version tool (i.e. you want it to disappear from your default view), then during RC phase, we'll go through all the Resolved bugs and set them to Closed, as to avoid "backwards evolution" (sorry, can't find the term...). Ryan, what do you think? You were still unsure...

And if you press the shift key, you can select all the nodes by selecting the first and last node.

  • Followup: RE: Freeplane 1.0.32 Testing

Hi, you actually don't need to put pressure on Dimitry: if the bugs you reported are still opened in Mantis, that means that we don't think that the bug has been solved. Thanks, Eric.

  • Followup: RE: HTML corrupted

Hi, I think I found the culprit: SimplyHTML. I was able to reproduce the problem with it stand-alone. If the HTML code contains non-HTML elements, e.g. <o>, SimplyHTML makes garbage out of it (in the sense, non-XML conform), and then Freeplane, rightly, doesn't recognize the result as valid XML and handles it as simple text, transmutating all XML elements. Dimitry, this...

  • Followup: RE: HTML corrupted

Hi, the forum text is in deed garbage, but the email sent was correct. I did cut&paste it into a map's node and it worked perfectly... It seems to be a Windows specific problem. Someone else will have to look into it. My suggestion: use in Freeplane the menu Help → Report a Bug, summarize there what we've discussed here, and attach two files: 1. one with the HTML code...
