I used the libsane API so no extra libs are necessary, and this is therefore a reasonable quick-n-dirty example of how to do SANE scanning from Qt. So far that's the only working functionality though: at least it seems to work OK with my Canon N650U flatbed. KIPI plugins seem to be the preferred way for KDE apps to do scanning and other types of image capture, but I didn't want to require that,
