On Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic) I can't print my pages. 'File > Print' simply invokes split view, nothing prints. version 0.8a4 (20081229)

Over on the GRAMPS list we are once again talking about how GRAMPS can be part of the online world and offer something like what this project does but using the GRAMPS XML format.

Chris, I suppose I could downgrade jibx with a bit of help if that helps you understand the problem. But this is the version of jibx shipped with Ubuntu 9.04, so freemind will need to work with it anyway. What would you prefer i do?.

Freemind fails to start, I have deleted a previous .freemind home user directory but that made no difference. details from cli are below.

The current Hardy package does not install on Jaunty, complains: Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libxerces27.

What happens
* I've learned that Kino can capture from my DV camera so I install it
* I try to capture but Kino gives the familiar warning "WARNING: raw1394 kernel module not loaded or failure to read/write /dev/raw1394!" (see bug#6290 and others)
* Nothing is captured
What I expected to happen
* I try to capture over ieee1394 (Firewire) with Kino
* Kino checks for the dvgrab package...

The problem of not being getting a response from the printer using 'print self test page' has disappeared. So we can close this. I still plan to make scans of a windows and linux printout at some stage.

Shouldn't this be left with status as 'pending' until 1.4-2 is released?
And when it is closed shouldn't it be closed with the resolution set to 'Fixed'?.
