This particular issue should be fixed with the Fusion 2 release and the fix should also be in open-vm-tools. Closing.

Please try this patch, it should suppress warnings from vmware-user.cpp and also won't try to build libDndGuest without gtkmm.

It looks like you tried compiling against not yet configured kernel sources. You need to do make configure because file linux/bounds.h is generated by Kbuild.
