In JUnit 4, we've removed the distinction between errors and failures. In this scheme, you would simply rethrow the exception, or let it propagate. Do you find this causes problems?.

Unfortunately, Hamcrest chose incompatible typing between Hamcrest 1.1 and 1.2. We had to choose one to be compatible with, and we believe there is a significant problem with 1.2's typing. We'd welcome any help fixing Hamcrest's typing so that we can update to the latest version.
