Just saw it again. ExperimentalAI had Titan6, Minotaur, 3xTroll, Ogre and was entering the 3-sand side of the desert.

Teleported onto ExperimentalAI in desert. He had Titan8, 4xSerpent, 2xHydra. Gave him the entry side with 3 sand hexes so he couldn't enter all his serpents. Got "ExperimentalAI data inconsistency During AI OnTheFlyLegionMove calculation, encountered a 'getParent called but byValues has no element' situation. Can't continue - application will exit!".

I have GUI preferences "Use colored borders on Battle Chits" and "Use Graphical Overlay" set true in my user cfg file. They are no longer applied correctly on game startup. If I open the Preferences dialog during the game, the check boxes do reflect the settings in my file. If I uncheck and recheck these boxes during the game, then the preferences work correctly. But otherwise no overlays...
