Sorry I cannot answer your question, but maybe you can help me since you seem to have gotten further than myself. I am trying to understand how to use the excel input synapse. Does it accept textual data? I am trying to connect it to a khonen synapse and a WTA layer... I am not sure of what format the excel file should be in however.. please help if you can. Thanks in advance.

How should the data be structured for the Excel input layer? I am trying to create an SOM network with the Kohonen synapse and the WTA layer. The problem is even though I set the WTA layer to a layer width of 2, only one neuron fires. Also, I am under the assumption (given the conversion mentioned in the documentation) that the excel input synapse will do the necessary conversion to the format...
