What's happening?

  • Comment: rendered JPGs are too soft for portraiture

    I do sharpen it in Gimp but the jpg created by UFRAW is softer than the original. The original sharpness cannot be retrieved again. I can give you a comparison of another program if you like. I can zoom into the eyes in UFRAW and they are completely in-focus and sharp but the created jpg's eyes are much softer.

  • rendered JPGs are too soft for portraiture

    UFRaw is a great tool that has everything I need except that the images are too soft. This is a major limitation when doing portraiture and it forces me to use another RAW tool with it. The images are softer than what it shown in the UFRAW viewer and what other tools save by default.
