okay when i added sound effects I used the standard
multimedia control included in vb, MCI32, and forgot to
include that in the release. It will be included in the
next release, until then you can get the file here, or by
downloading the supplemental file 'theater-dependencies.zip'
sorry for the late response, i've been getting side tracked
with other...

A small change in this version but a good one, before it was in your best interest to hire employees with high ambition because they'd grow beyond their position quickly and then get angry about not getting a promotion, this anger affected their work performance and therefore your overall rating. But now you can get a higher rating from hiring these ambitious people and going through all the...

Well i decided that even though I was happy with muse and it did everything I wanted it to, to someone who hasn't used it before it could be a bit confusing. So in version 3.6.0 I've made changes to try to make the program more user friendly and wrote a wizard (more of a walkthrough) which will guide you step-by-step on setting up your mp3 player, cataloging your music, and syncing it to your...

Changed how the tickets are sold so the game can run faster and smoother, also more acurate percentage of customers will buy concessions and play games. Changed the math around a lot to make the game a bit easier, yet still challenging. Rent inflates now too, inflation rate increased to make the game get harder as you go. The seating capacity can now be increased by remodelling (in the...

we all know and love (not really) the fact that most real theaters these days help supplement their income by showing ads before the movie. It's great to pay $10 to get advertised to, really it is!
now you can use this strategy too! in version 0.2.2b you can assign a number (0-10) of ads that can be shown before any given showtime, each ad will give you around $88 a day, but it will drop the...

the other day I was uploading my project and I added
the file to the file release while it was about 1/2 way
done uploading, I went to bed and just let it finish.
i was wondering if that would work because it seems
that when you do that it copies the file out of the
ftp's "incoming" directory and into the project's own
directory, but i was allowed to do it anyway
the next day I...

this version includes a help file.
made some changes to try to make the game more challenging:
movie popularity is dropped random (1-10) per interval
default interval set to 1 week (7 days)
movies have random classic (1-40) value which prevents their popularity from dropping below that point
building rent & purchase cost increased to be more challenging and more realistic.

this is probably in reguards to the music & sound effects
files, as these were not included in the stand alone (exe) zip
as you probably know in order to have all of the files you
need you will have needed to have run the setup.exe at some
point, I try to release a zip of just the needed files for
upgrading to the newest version in the exe.zip, which...
