hi Stevan,
Thank you! I was having a problem and assumed that the error message in the postgres log indicated the source of the problem. I will go back to square one tonight and see and try again. May I suggest that the resolution to this bug is to document that this is expected behavior?
Cheers,
Mark.

Hello Stevan,
Postgres 8.3.7
oddly, there is no sql.errors file being created
the database was reinitialized to the empty state, not upgraded.
More syslog messages (all pretty must the same) and dspam.conf attached.
Please suggest things to try. Happy to reset database.
Mark.

Trying to train on around 10,000 message via email to spam@, results in a large number of errors like:

Hi Stevan
The configure line that caused the problem is:
./configure --prefix=/usr/local --with-dspam-home=/var/db/dspam --with-pgsql-includes=/usr/local/include --with-pgsql-libraries=/usr/local/lib
adding --enable-daemon fixed the problem. However, dspam shouldn't silently discard mail when misconfiigured. Is there any reason not to just always enable this functionality?

If dspam is compiled without --enable-daemon and then configured to deliver via SMPT (DeliveryProto SMPT), no error is generated. Instead it appears to execute an empty shell script that discards the mail. Instead, aen error should be generated, Attempts to execute empty strings as deliver agents should also generate an error.

the .ltx file extension is commonly used instead of .tex for latex sources. Please add support for this extensions,
or make latex2ftf smarter about check for expllict extension before tacking on a .tex
thanks!! this is a life saving package.

32bit rasmol complied on x86_64 linux produces fuzzy double images. Please either fix or change the build or code to abort on 64bit machines so one doesn't pound ones head against the wall trying to figure out why their image is a mess ;-)
thanks.

Help->Plugins generates the error:
The plugins installation directory is not writable,
you are not allowed to install/remove plugins
but doesn't indicate what the directory path is that isn't writable, making this a
hard problem to debug.

Could a Mac OS/X i386 or universal binary be added to the binary distribution? The PPC mode is very slow and attempts to compile a
i386 executable fail due libtool issues.
