Hi,
In the past, I've administered a few mailing lists on sf.net. These projects are for the most part dead, but of course spammers still continue to attempt spamming them.
When this happens, of course, I recieve a "moderator request(s) waiting" email. I've disabled mailing lists in at least one of the projects, and it still happens. I can not even remove myself from the moderators list...
