  • Followup: RE: How to rip audio books with ease?

http://akronedge.info I got some scripts, using bonk commandline. I just ripped a stack of cds 5 inches high in one night, without looking at computer screen until end. I do this because I listen to them at work. at end, I worry about defining names of books, since cddb seldom has available entries for new books. ALso does merge, since vbr lame is listenable down to 17 kps with good...

  • com line: pattern, cddb behavior, and cd0 ?

I am only interested in commandline, becmd.exe I wish it to do cddb with <cdnumber of 2 digits>-<tracknumber 2 digit>-<artist>-<album>.wav I don't see documentation on the -pattern switch . I am guessing not possible. Also, the problem with cddb lookup is often no or several choices. Does it choose first one offered or handle another way. Last question: I...

  • fail

I like the interface. But every time I try to burn, it give me "fail" on menu and trancode. No luck. I think "unknown error" 193 or such. I have tried deleting and creating new temp dir after each failure, various input avi/wmv formats, unplugin all other usb devices. I gave DeeveDee a whirl and works, but your interface is better. XP pro, latest version and beta...

  • Followup: RE: Conclusion: a buggy program

I now conclude that Cam Studio has an ini bug, where one of the ini's get corrupted repeatedly. The "unable to open avi" dialog on capture dialog's regularity, does make it useless. I can restore the ini files, reopen CS, then record. I will not investigate further, other than wait for a "fix" or better workaround to be posted here. PS. Layering is key to recording...

  • Followup: RE: Conclusion: a buggy program

Researching, many people getting "cannot open/create avi"/ This pervasive issue need to be solved. Tonight, I got 4 sucessful vids, then only occasionally able to create and avi, but only after changing temp dir. Video codec independent and dimensionally independent. Even number chosen for dimensions and placement. After a while nothing but "unable to open avi"...

  • Conclusion: a buggy program

the "cannot create Avi" message happens about 70% of the time. I spent hours trying to isolate problem. The nearest is Not codec, is NOT rectangle size related, NOT unique filename,NOT drive related (two drives); Not freespace needed related; NOT output directory. Nearest guess is possibly the need for unique temp directory, but while more reliable, have had message when using a...

Weird. But started working to record the wm9, then stopped. Trying in different browser, but had a scew to recorded pic. Then, today nothing in either browser. I think quicktime streams record okay. Still having alot of trouble with "cannot creat avi" To solve this I must choose a new temp folder. Close, then restart. IN conclusion, wm9 stuff only spotty on recording...

either a layer issue or copy protection issue. I also cannot figure out how to open a support request. The support page defies standards of a regular board or support center.
