I would like to request the terms mesocosm and microcosm.
Both meso- and microcosms are 'containers' for the purpose of experimentation and are man-made. There is an issue of scale and of the complexity of variables - i.e. the microcosm if more tighly controlled with less potential variablility/factors while the mesocosm is larger and tends to begin to approach a 'natural environment'...

It would be really nice to show all the definitions
on the input form page and have a button for 'turning
them off' - when turned off the icons would be shown
as they are now
the schema is now more strongly typed and getting
people to know what needs to go into each field is
more important
starting to add Examples to the definitions as well
but will try to keep text as short as...

We have two pages in the wiki on GCat identifiers one
by DF, one by TG), merge and resolve how to keep
adding to the wiki - it's developing realy well!

Tanya, could you try to turn this on as per Nic's
instructions? Hopefully it work in one quick go. I can

- now that we are implementing XIDs, check and warn if a
schema doesn't have XID's, show, link to GSC Toolkit where
it will be possible to add them (even if they aren't used
in a different implementation, there shouldn't be an
overhead making the necessary for GCat)

Under the tool kit go general webservice tools that
don't belong in the GCat software per so but might be
useful to the wider community
From the GSC Toolkit link, go to a page with the
following options ready to fun for external users
(all are pieces of code that are used in GCat in one
way or other, but generic version are also useful):
-google maps (e.g. enter your XML file...

Just edited a file and realized it jumped from the
middle of the browse list to the bottom. This is
nice that they are ordered by 'last updated'. Could
they now go in reverse order so Browse is
really 'last updates'...
This would be really useful - and should be marked as
such.

The search by keyword works fine - if a field is not
found nothing is returned, if it is the matching docs
are returned.
The issue appears to be when a keyword search is made
with information that is in the schema...?
For example a search with 'plasmid' returns all the
genome reports even though only 1 refers to a
plasmid...
likewise with pyrosequencing which is an...
