It would be useful to display the privileges which have been granted to a role. These could also be included in the DDL.

You do not mention 2. I have also had a problem with the UDFs BIN_AND and BIN_OR. Unless these are quoted, Firebird will not accept them. My FR settings are to quote names only when needed.
To be honest, this is really a Firebird problem. I have a client who has some user names with an underscore and I am always caught out when I grant them roles.

I think I will push them to install FB2.1.1 and see what the result is. They occasionally rebuild the server and I think something went wrong. It was all working fine until then.
Yes, I did take a risk installing the RC in a production environment. But I had been testing all the betas and the RC with the applications.

They are still using FB 2.03 RC. It is on Windows but I don't know which version as I only have access through Citrix to my applications and Flame Robin.

A client is reporting a fatal error dialog when trying to access Manage Users. I suspected that the security database was corrupted but after checking it is perfect. The IT department at the client tell me IBExpert is working fine and they can manage users with that.
Flame Robin was upgraded to v0.8.6 but no improvement. Any ideas what the problem might be?.

There is no confirmation dialog when dropping a column from a table. I have not looked at other properties.

If I close a dataset and immediately open it again, it starts a whole cycle of errors and the application has to be killed.
This happens anywhere I place the 2 commands one after another. If I insert a Sleep(5) command between the close and open there is no problem.

Thanks for the information. Oddly, IBOConsole works OK with the Euro using ISO8859_1.

Using FR 0.8.3.1596 Unicode
I have an ISO8859_1 connection to an ISO8859_1 database. FR cannot handle any SQL statement containing the € (Euro) symbol. The prepare statement fails.
If I return a dataset from the database, the € symbol is replaced with the block character.
I tried tests with the extra alphabetic characters in Norwegian and they work fine.
