I wasn't sure if I should post this as a bug or a feature request...
Version 7.1.3. When performing command line merges, the current time is appended to the merge dates. Often, this causes the command line merge to skip backups created on the merge 'from' date.
My request would be to merge all backups that exist at any time of the day on and between the 'from' and 'to' days.

My preferences are stored in:
E:\Dan\.Areca\preferences.properties
My environment variables with "home" in the name:
HOMEDRIVE=C:
HOMEPATH=\Users\Dan
My OS is windows vista. It doesn't seem to me that an environment variable is used to find the "home directory". Does areca use a registry value, or ... ?

v5.4.5 unicode
Find dialog "Direction" box says "up" but searches "down". Only happens in this specific scenario:
- Open find dialog box, select "up", type your search, click "Find Next", then close Notepad++
- Open Notepad++ again and open the find dialog box - "up" will still be selected
- type your search and click "Find Next" - it will be searching "down"

Areca seems to fragment files during backup. I thought there might be some room for performance gain if it wrote to disk in a more organized manner (not sure if that's possible).
I attached a few screen-shots from JkDefrag after performing a full backup on empty, and mostly empty drives. (Backup set size was ~130GB)

I agree, that would be convenient.
The work-around I'm using now is to assign drive letter Z: to my external drive, that way it never changes (on this computer).

I have configured a Post-processing action to "store the report on disk". When my backup completed with a "No backup required" message in the full log file the prior report is renamed with a .bak extension, and a new report is created with the exact same information from the PRIOR backup. I have attached all three log files for reference.
