  • Followup: RE: Directory anomaly in google chrome and sa

Hi, Cheers mate - I just sussed it and its nothing to do with qdig. I'm using a font generated with Cufon and it turned out I needed to set the HTML DOCTYPE to strict which fixed the problem. But talking of the next distribution could I suggest using separate css selector tags for the main directory and the uppernav. It seems impossible to affect one without affecting the other and in the...

  • Directory anomaly in google chrome and safari

Hi, I've been trying to sort this funny little anomaly which causes the last directory name in the main list seems to squash up against the directory name above it. You can see what I mean here: http://jettestolte.com/jette_qdig/images/chrome_anomoly.JPG I spent ages searching the forums and playing with the code until i realised it looks perfectly fine in firefox, even IE6, but seems to...

  • Followup: RE: vertical-aligning directroy navigation te

Its a bit of a hack but I managed to vertically align my list of directories by changing line 2217 to: $height_attr = " height=\0\""; I'm still trying to get a bit more control on its position (move it down 20px) but no luck so far. Don't really know what I'm doing, just trial and error....

  • Followup: RE: Thumbnail-Image Links to Galleries

I had a little look around and tried emailing a couple of older users but not seen or heard anything ... I thought, if I made sure the first thumb image in every directory had the same filename (ie 01.jpg), it shouldn't be too hard to drop in a url along with the directory name? It would be a bit of a rough hack but it it worked it would pretty much complete my site.

  • Followup: RE: Thumbnail-Image Links to Galleries

I wanted to bump this thread as I'd love to see this feature incorporated. For me the thumb could be any image from the folder but I guess the first would be logical. And it might be nice to adopt a grid style or double column layout for the galleries so that they fit better on the page, but this is not so important. In the meantime, I've been trying to do it manually but not having much...

  • fade

I was wondering if there was anyway of incorporating a simple fade between images. There are a lot of simple javascripts that can do this but I wouldn't know how to add them as a new function. Or maybe it might be easier to just include a fade out/in gif over the top of the images as they change? I'm happy to play around with this but my javascript knowledge is pretty basic so I could do...

  • Followup: RE: Hover style for links

Thats cool- I did manage to make php include work (I changed my index file from .html to .php), so I can change the settings in the qdig file no worries. I was just hoping that I could change the settings from css file instead of reloading the qdig file each time I made a change. Thanks tho for a such a nifty bit of code. I'm going to be cheeky and ask about making some changes but I'll...

  • Followup: RE: gallery categories

I don't know if there is a better way of doing this, but I needed to create two seperate galleries so I created two versions of the qdig.php file ie galleryone.php and gallerytwo.php and linked each to different gallery folder: $chroot_dir = 'galleryone/'; Your'll also need to change the qdig link in your index.html file. I guess with five catagories its a bit of a hassle to create five...

I think you're probably right. Its odd as it seems to work fine now. I guess it was just an install hiccup. thanks for your help!
