Ok, playing around with settings I was able to boot OSX.
For me, I had to change the memory size from 128M to 256M and then it began booting. Weird.

Let me clarify my booting problems. In the bios, I can select disk0 as a boot device. It boots, I see the Apple logo, next I see some kernel messages and then it gets stuck at 'Still waiting for root device' which it will keep printing out every minute or so.

I can't access wiki atm, but I found in another thread in the help forum here where someone suggested reordering the partition table to get it to boot.
I've done that with no change in my ability to boot the os off of the hd image. It gets stuck at a message saying 'Still waiting for root device'.
Any other suggestions?.

I installed the first install cd of OSX 10.2. Everything went fine, albeit somewhat slow. It rebooted. I changed the cd to install cd 2. When it boots up, it simply shows a broken folder icon and does nothing more. No error messages show up in the console.
HD installation does not yet boot. Should it or does it need to finish the second cd to boot?
