Greetings,
So I've gone at this a totally different way, and I need someone to test what I've done.
I've built a .dmg of JBidwatcher, and would like someone who is having the crashing problem to try it out.
Takers?

Greetings,
Try making sure JBidwatcher isn't running, launch Terminal, and enter:
mv ~/Library/Preferences/JBidwatcher/jbdb ~/Library/Preferences/JBidwatcher/jbdb.old
Then try to re-launch JBidwatcher, and let me know how it goes.
If there's still an issue, I'd appreciate it a lot if you could re-file on the Lighthouse issue tracker, at...

Greetings,
JBidwatcher 2.0 will actually use a database internally... I haven't figured out yet how to expose that, or open up the database configuration so that you could point to some other database. I'm not sure it'll actually work, as SQL is a terribly non-standard language. (Or, more likely, the inline database I'm using has a 'just slightly off' syntax, like most databases seem to...)

Greetings,
If you set it, it will be added. You can create settings that aren't already in there.
That particular setting doesn't exist because by default it uses the system colors; only if that value is set does it override the OS-dependent default colors.

Greetings,
It works on some platforms, unfortunately. What platform (OS and Java version) are you using?

Greetings,
It is a duplicate, and also will not be fixed, for the same reasons as

Greetings,
I will try to put a warning in the next version, but this is not a bug that I can fix, at the core.
JBidwatcher relies on the content of the item view page and the bid completion page, using various words and labels as 'landmarks' to find content on the page. There's simply no way I can support all the languages on their native sites, so JBidwatcher uses the 'ebay.com' site for...

Greetings,
Please let me know what the amount you were bidding was.
(And for bfinch, please let me know the item # and the amount you were trying to bid.)
There are many circumstances in which you might think you have a higher winning bid, but because of minimum bid increments your bid doesn't qualify, and eBay rejects it.
To be precise, the message 'Snipe was too low, and was not...

Greetings,
JBidwatcher's done this for many, many years. It's in the 'auctionsave' directory, and it'll even keep auctions that have been deleted by eBay.

Greetings,
When you self-signed, the JWS came up with a big warning, saying, 'We recommend you DO NOT run this program!'
It's a lot more intrusive than download-and-run, imo.
JBidwatcher generally needs unrestricted access; open access to the network, the file system, system properties, binary loading on OSX and Windows (for platform-specific features). It all turns out to be...
